When You're ?

If you could write a letter to your 11-year-old self, what would it say?

Emma’s present speaks to her past, detailing the ‘coming out’ period of her life as she realised, over the course of a decade, that she was a lesbian, non-binary and asexual. It has all the firsts: crush, love, kiss, relationship, heartbreak, and first time, with humorous anecdotes relatable to all (16+) audiences.

When You’re ? details the highs and lows of growing up gay in a homophobic environment and the euphoric highs as self-hate turns into self-discovery turns into self-love.

'When You're ?' is a constantly evolving piece that moves with the performer as she goes through life.
